The Heavy Equipment Operator Study Program (Beginner Level) aims to produce graduates who have basic knowledge and skills, as well as responsibility in the field of heavy equipment operation: hydraulic excavators, bulldozers, and heavy duty dump trucks, so that they are able to operate the heavy equipment under their responsibility in accordance with standard factory procedures.

The Heavy Equipment Operator Study Program (Beginner Level) is specifically designed with a curriculum that aims to prepare the best talents to become professional heavy equipment operators with excellent character, so that they are able to answer real-world work challenges. This program provides basic knowledge and skills about:

Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental (K3LH) procedures in the workplace.
Basic operating procedures and applications of excavator, bulldozer, and heavy duty dump truck heavy equipment.
Basic knowledge of production calculations in the field.
Daily maintenance procedures on excavator, bulldozer, and heavy duty dump truck heavy equipment.

This program also provides a target for each student with a level of 67 HOOM (Hour Operating On The Machine) for each competency unit or a minimum of 200 HOOM for three competency units specifically in the operation and application of heavy equipment correctly and productively.

In order to ensure and provide recognition of competence as a heavy equipment operator obtained while participating in the Education and Training program at UT School, at the end of the program students are competency tested by assessors from the Indonesian Heavy Equipment Professional Certification Institute (LSP ABI).
